Lebanon. A trip south from Beirut to Sidon and Sour paid huge dividends. Sour offered Roman ruins at the Al-Mina archeological site, aquamarine Mediterranean coast, and quieter alternative to Beirut. Sidon offered a lovely souk, a Crusader castle, and lots and lots of kids wanting their pictures taken (so I obliged). Southern Lebanon is beautiful and the people friendly—I’ll really enjoy going back.

*I’ve been busy traveling lately, but I should have a new feature post on Monday or Tuesday*
